min. i. mal.

It's hard for me to be too serious, but in all seriousness, I am trying to become a minimalist.

You'd think that that word would be smaller...

Minimalist

So all those of you that know me, stop laughing!!! We are seriously going to get rid of like 1/3 of all stuff in each room. 1/2 was the goal, but we needed to be realistic.

I have We have too much stuff.

We have duplicates of a lot of thing because when my hubby and I got married, we each had a lot of the same things.  Seriously, do we need two crock pots?  Really?  Does anyone else have two?  Anyone?  Anyone?

Ahem...

Time to purge.

Okay.

Here are some of the latest websites that have inspired me and given me needed tips and advice.

I am seriously going to do the "get rid of 100 things" this weekend.

I have already started.

There are some great yard sale items here so we will try to have a yard sale, but seriously, I just want to donate it all and forget the hassle.

We seriously have too much stuff.

Who out there is a minimalist?

Does anybody have any tips on how to help kids get rid of their stuff?  I still have some cherished child hood things and don't expect them to get rid of their stuff that holds a lot of memories, but seriously, they need to downsize too!

anyway...

Tell me your strategies, your advice, your tips because seriously, my all our stuff is going on a diet.

Gettin' skinny.

Gettin' the junk outta my trunk...

Seriously.

  1. I actually have 3 crockpots! A small one and two regular. I just got another regular one for Christmas that has a warm setting that my other one didn't have. But I want to keep two because sometimes I need both. I did use two the other day, but I honestly can't remember why. I am getting rid of a TON of stuff as well and moving into the new addition is going to help!
